Differences between /Documentation/admin-guide/LSM/LoadPin.rst (Version linux-6.11.5) and /Documentation/admin-guide/LSM/LoadPin.rst (Version linux-4.9.337)

=======
LoadPin

LoadPin is a Linux Security Module that ensure
(modules, firmware, etc) all originate from th
the expectation that such a filesystem is back
such as dm-verity or CDROM. This allows system
and/or unchangeable filesystem to enforce modu
restrictions without needing to sign the files

The LSM is selectable at build-time with ``CON
can be controlled at boot-time with the kernel
"``loadpin.enforce``". By default, it is enabl
boot ("``loadpin.enforce=0``").

LoadPin starts pinning when it sees the first
block device backing the filesystem is not rea
created to toggle pinning: ``/proc/sys/kernel/
a mutable filesystem means pinning is mutable

It's also possible to exclude specific file ty
command line option "``loadpin.exclude``". By

full list of valid file types can be found in
